  3. Emerson recorded HONKY in the Bahamas and in it was the second LP released on his Chord label. The first, in , had been NIGHTHAWKS. Neil Symonette (drums) and Kendall Stubbs (bass), who assist him here, had also worked on that film score project. This is a good album and belongs in every Emerson fan's collection/5(15).

  5. This LP, recorded for the Italian label Bubble, is probably Keith Emerson's most eclectic, with a sense of humor thrown in as well. The opening medley of Emerson's "Hello Sailor" and George Malcolm's Baroque-flavored "Bach Before the Mast" provides quite a contrast, moving from a subdued sea shantey to furious solo piano, and finally segueing into a full-fledged rocking strut with a Caribbean 6/

  8. Keith Emerson is one of the most talented and influencial keybordist in prog, for many the most. Everybody knows his work with ELP, so I will begun saying that his solo career has ups and downs. One of the ups I might say that is this album, his second relese from named Honky.
